Medical Courses
General Medicine ( UG - MBBS or MD Physician ) :
General Medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists or physicians (without a modifier) in Commonwealth nations. Internists are especially skilled in the management of patients who have undifferentiated or multi-system disease processes. Internists care for hospitalized and ambulatory patients and may play a major role in teaching and research. The degree awarded in European & in some of Asian countries (Except China) would be of M.D (Physician), which is equivalent to M.B.B.S in India. This degree shouldn’t be confused as PG qualification
Post Graduation (MD/MS) Courses :
Post Graduation courses in the case of Medicine are of period ranging of 2-5years. The degree awarded would be the MD (Medical faculty) or MS (Surgical Faculty).
Dentistry : BDS & MDS Courses
Dentistry involves curriculum of 4-5 academic years (UG) & 2-3 years (PG). Students undergo through the basic subjects of medical and biological profile, as well as the clinical disciplines, which are required for a dentist.
Pharmacy:
Pharmacy is a health profession that links the health sciences with chemical sciences which ensures the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. The word is derived from a Greek word: pharmakon that means "drug" or "medicine".
